Some of the things I would change on tv?

I shouldn't make it bother me but certain things bother me about cable tv. Little things, but they're very annoying and if I was in control of tv or a certain cable channel I would change somethings.
The N-First off, The N has some good programs. South of Nowhere, The Best Years, The Hills, Laguna Beach, Dawson's Creek and the almighty of The N, Degrassi. The thing that bothers me is that I'm so sick of Degrassi. That's all that's ever on that channel. Every night, weeknight, the show is on. I don't mean one or two episodes, I mean 5 to 6 hr. marathons. I mean, I know the show is good but does it have to be on all the time. Put some other shows on or don't bother advertising them. Dawson's Creek, Laguna Beach and Summerland are shows that are promoted and never shown. If they're shown it's on 4 or 5 o'clock in the morning. Who's going to watch that? Don't bother promoting the shows if they are not going to be on. Hopefully, when The N becomes a 24 hr. network they'll be able to put Degrassi on and put other shows on as well.
TV Land- TV Land shows a lot of old shows which is what the channel is supposed to do. The problem I have is where are all the classic shows. Where's Happy Days, The Odd Couple, The Honeymooners and Father Knows Best? If you look at the schedule for "TV Land's Merrython" that they have every year, none of those shows are on it. With all due respect to shows that are on the special but what would you rather see-Happy Days or Night Court? The Odd Couple or Wings? I mean Happy Days, Honeymooners etc. are some of the great shows of all time. Where are they, especially now? Hopefully, they'll change their schedule and make "TV Land Merrython" a must watch.
TBS-This channel is fine but the problem I have is that can they stop running "Saved By the Bell-The College Years" every Friday. I mean they've been doing it for years and "The College Years" only made 13 episodes! How many times can you see the same episodes. I mean at least when they were in high school they made more than 13 episodes. Put "Saved by the Bell-The New Class" on instead. At least it would be something different. People probably don't remember the show and they made more than 13 episodes.
ION-People might not know what this channel is but I believe NBC owns it. It's a network that shows family programming and even has commercials that aren't violent, sexual, lewd etc. I don't have a problem with that. The problem I have is that their only on for 6 hrs. all day from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. They could put family programming on all day and night. My feeling is that if you want to be called a network or channel you have to be on for more than 6hrs. I think they should do it because I think their's a demand for family programming. I don't know why they don't show more programs but they really should.
These are just my opionions about tv. I don't know if anybody agrees or if anybody cares. To me, it's just random thoughts that were bothering me. If you like it, fine. If you don't like it, fine. If you don't have an opionion, that's fine too.

What's Wrong with Videotape?

Have you noticed over the past 5 yrs. the DVD has skyrocketed but the videotape industry seems to have stalled? I understand that this is a DVD age and almost everyone has a DVD but what's wrong with videotape. I understand that DVD's sell well and their's a ton of tv shows, movies, music shows, etc. on DVD. You could buy a whole series of Seinfeld or Friends for your own personal collection. I also understand that the DVD gives you better picture quality and more info. like commentary and deleted scenes. The only problem with DVD's and a DVD player is that the cost could be very high. I think DVD's cost more than VCR's although I could be wrong. Also, have you seen the price of some of these DVD's? They run you 50 or 60 bucks. That to me I can't understand. If you tape the 3rd season of Seinfeld via VCR, that would be cheaper than to buy the 3rd season of Seinfeld on DVD. I don't see really what the difference is. I mean, I guess if you could afford a DVD player you could afford DVD's. I don't see what the big deal is videotaping something. Your seeing less and less things available on videotape and more on DVD. I'm not talking about TV shows, I'm talking about movies or concerts or anything to do with sports. I just think if you can afford it you should get a DVD player but if you can't their's nothing wrong with videotape.

Where's the Vintage TV?

Can somebody please tell me something? Where is all the old sports programming? I mean I have ESPNClassic, CSTV, NFL Network etc. and I can't find a decent game. Now, you must be saying their are classic games all the time. That's true- but have you ever sat through one of those games. First off, they water down the show into a two hour format. If a game is 3 hrs. they skip plays. Think about this, your watching a classic game and they skip plays. That's ludicrous because you want to watch the whole game. Second, not only do they skip plays, they skip the openings or the intros the game, halftime, postgame. THAT'S PART OF THE GAME. People say well, it's too expensive. These networks are not bleeding for money. They make tons of cash. Third, when the networks do show a game, they actually have their own opening. I mean they have to tell you about the game. How do expect a game to flow when you skip plays, skip pre and post game, introductions and have their own specific opening all in usually 2 hrs? I, personally, would rather watch a classic game done right instead of something over and over again.
What do you mean by a classic game done right? I'm talking about a classic game with a pre and post game show, halftime, intros., the full game. If the full game takes 31/2 hrs. so be it. It's better than having a 2hr. game and then have something that you've seen 5 times already.
I should point out that the NFL Network did and will show classic SuperBowl games. They did that in Jan. tying in with the Super Bowl but that's it. I mean all these sports and networks talk about the greats like Montana, Bradshaw, Namath, Gretsky, Hull and yet if you weren't born how are you suppose to know how great they are. I wasn't even born when Bradshaw won his 1st SuperBowl much less his 4th but how am I suppose to know how great he is. I could give you examples in all major sports. We have to preserve our sports history. I hope some people agree with me. We have to save our sports.
